News Release: Congratulations Kathryn Ford, recipient of the Saskatoon-Grasswood Canada 150 Award!

Kathryn Ford has practiced law in Saskatoon for 40 years, has played a significant role in introducing collaborative law to the local family law bar. She has also served on a wide-ranging number of boards and organizations, including YWCA Saskatoon, Prairie Hospice Society, City Hospital, Saskatoon Foundation, LutherCare Communities, the University of Saskatchewan and the Law Foundation of Saskatchewan. Kathryn coached the mediation advocacy team at the College of Law for eight years. Her coaching of law students and her mentorship through the Law Society of Saskatchewan, has been important in fostering many new leaders for the future of her profession. She has led a transformation of the Prairie Hospice Society to build it into a vibrant force filling a need for hospice services. Prairie Hospice Society Inc. is a non-profit community organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for those facing advancing illness, death, and bereavement. Their mission is to ensure access to quality end-of-life support in Saskatoon. Kathryn also recently received the YWCA 2017 Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement Award.
