John Allen Fraser, the first speaker of the house to be elected by ballot passed away on April 9th. Mr. Fraser served the constituents of Vancouver South from the years 1972-1993 as a part of The Progressive Conservative Party. He served as speaker from 1986-1993, under the Mulroney government. We thank Mr. Fraser for his service to our country, and our condolences go out to his family.
