FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and the Official Opposition, issued the following statement on the COVID-19 modelling data:

“After today’s release of COVID-19 modelling data, Conservatives are asking Justin Trudeau for a clear, honest answer. Has your inability to effectively deliver vaccines left Canadians more vulnerable to the spread of variants?

“Canadians are feeling let down by the current pace of vaccinations. Will the Liberals’ slow response mean more illness, job losses, and lockdowns while we continue to wait for vaccines?

“Now, we are worried that it will be on the health care workers across the provinces to pick up the pieces if a flood of vaccines arrive. We need a steady supply of vaccines now in order to secure jobs, rebuild our economy, and secure the future.

“Conservatives want the government to succeed in getting vaccines to Canadians, but they didn’t push hard enough. Canada’s Conservatives will continue to call for the clarity and competence that Canadians deserve from their government.”
