Speech on Irish Heritage Month

On Friday, December 11, 2020, I rose in the House of Commons to speak in support of Motion 18, which seeks to designate March as Irish Heritage Month in Canada.

Irish Canadians, the fourth largest ethnic group in Canada, have a long history of contributions to the growth of our country. They’ve also had their fair share of Canadian leaders, athletes, and cultural icons. From Brian Mulroney to Pat Quinn and Stompin’ Tom Connors, Irish-Canadians can be found everywhere in Canadian history. Speaking of Stompin’ Tom, you can even hear my rendition of his famous Hockey Song in this speech!
