Ottawa, ON – Last night, Canada’s vaccine rollout failure was highlighted on the international stage. CNN reported the following:

“Some bad news for our neighbors north. Canada is now outpacing the United States in terms of coronavirus cases per capita… the Canadian vaccine rollout is not going well at all.”

The Hon. Michelle Rempel Garner, Conservative Shadow Minister for Health, and Pierre Paul-Hus, Conservative Shadow Minister for Public Services and Procurement, issued the following statement on the Trudeau Liberals’ failure to get vaccines to Canadians:

“Last night, CNN led its international news coverage with the real consequences of Justin Trudeau’s failed vaccine strategy. They showed images of our fellow citizens lying in hospital beds, businesses shuttered, and healthcare professionals pleading for help – all while Americans progressed with their reopening.

“This is what Justin Trudeau’s vaccine failure looks like. Unlike Justin Trudeau, we know that everything is not fine.

“CNN host Jake Tapper was right, Canadians deserve better leadership when it comes to vaccines, and they need to know that they can count on their government in a time of crisis.

“Canada’s Conservatives will continue working hard to secure the future for Canadians, who need a government that can provide them with the security and certainty they need now more than ever.”
