Today I spoke with the Canadian Jewish News regarding the Liberal government proposal in their Budget 2022 to amend Criminal Code to prohibit the communication of statements, other than in private conversation, that willfully promote antisemitism by condoning, denying or downplaying the Holocaust. The government move to change the law follows the introduction of my Private Member’s bill that I introduced earlier this year.
